RE/MAX Commercial "Changing Times"

RE/MAX International CEO Margaret Kelly is seen walking down the sidewalk of a pleasant, suburban street. As she pitches the product we see background scenes of a family moving into a new home and being welcomed by, apparently, their Real Estate Agent. Kelly talks about the recent reversals in the housing market and the benefits of searching for a new home online. She closes the spot saying "Find out what an experienced RE/MAX Agent can do for you." The last shot is of the RE/MAX balloon floating over the home.

There's an old adage in the advertising business: "If the boss is in the ad, the company is in serious trouble.' And it's generally true. It's too easy to misdirect potential customers with something unrelated to what you're actually selling. Especially on TV. And the boss of a successful, profitable company usually wants to keep a low profile. Considering real estate companies were probably in cahoots with banks pushing bad loans, having Margaret Kelly pitch the product can only mean RE/MAX is worried they may not be able to make the mortgage.
